One of our readers submitted this photo of an accident that occurred on Summit St. and Columbia st. within moments of the accident that happened at Columbia St. and President St. around 12:30We're not sure if this is related, or if its some strange coincidence. We'd also like to point out that the above accident doesn't appear nearly as bad as the one at President (Edit: which involved 6 injuries) but that the combination of the two at the same time is quite scary.

These accidents will continue to be commonplace for as long as this intersection remains a four way stop with traffic coming from four directions. Furthermore, the signs are not correctly labeled or placed at full height. I have closely missed getting hit as a ped and a driver on countless occasions. The city needs to abandon the Van Brunt project and restore Summit to its original flow.
