Hear New Music in Red Hook

Musician Ben Seretan let us know about a show happening in Red Hook tomorrow night on Van Dyke Street at the home of New Amsterdam Records. Described as happening in Van Dyke Park, this warehouse show is part of a series called Selective Truths, a showcase curated by Matt Evans. Check out their shows and explore new musical territory!

Tomorrow's show features saxophonist David Lackner, smooth FM mutants Blue Jazz TV, and Ben, a singer with "the voice of an angel and sheets of electric guitar waterfalls."

Rooftop Films at the Waterfront Museum!


Rooftop Films comes to Red Hook on Thursday, August 1 at the Waterfront Museum aboard the 914 Lehigh Valley Barge #79, In the water at 290 Conover Street. (Next to Fairway.)

Rooftop sets to sea for this spirited documentary about a three-mast sailboat full of daring artists and off-beat scientists exploring territory only recently revealed by polar ice melts.

A poetic study in movement and sound, this film takes you on a journey to the twilight expanses of the Lappish wilderness to experience the ancient practice of reindeer herding or ‘husbandry’.

New trivia night at The Roebling Inn

The Roebling Inn on Atlantic Ave is starting a new trivia night on Monday (4/29) at 8pm. If they get a good turnout, they plan to keep it going once a month. The hosts say this trivia night will stand out. "No annoyingly specific categories and way too difficult questions allowed! Our trivia rounds will be clever and fun." The winning team will get a $50 bar tab and there will be other free beers given away throughout the evening.

Valentine's Day at Everyday Athlete Kids

Enjoy an evening out or some time alone at home!

Everyday Athlete Kids is offering a drop off session that includes arts and crafts, tumbling, dancing, games, and more, that you child will enjoy. Drinks, snacks and a pizza dinner is included, too!


Friday Feb 13 and Saturday Feb 14 from 6 pm to 9pm: 3 hours to do whatever!
