Local Make Music New York Events

Make Music New York is a free one-day music festival that takes place all over the city on June 21st. Anyone can take part or attend this Do-It-Yourself style festival. The goal is to get as many people outside, making music together, as possible.

Enjoy the old-timey sounds of trio Sycamore Hollow comprised of Laurie Woods, guitar, Jeremy Smerd, fiddle, and Deborah Fausch, banjo.

Coffey Park: Park House Plaza (2:15-2:45p) Coffey Park, Red Hook
Dave Lippman performs singalong parodies for human rights and social and planetary survival. Some are challenging, some are singable, all are welcome.

Also, Jalopy Theater is hosting the first annual Make Music New York Porch Stomp on Governors Island from 1:00 – 5:00pm!
With over 30 performances, jams and workshops by artists ranging from bluegrass and old-time to folk and roots, this is a hootenanny you won’t want to miss. Make your way to the porches of Governors Island’s historic Nolan Park, and don’t forget to bring an instrument to play along.
