Tomorrow morning, Sunday, June 9th at 7:36 am, the tallest non-historic building on Governors Island is scheduled to be demolished by implosion opening up space for 30 acres of park to be added and views of the Statue of Liberty. While we may not hear or see the actual implosion from our windows, they are going to be broadcasting it live for your viewing pleasure on the Governors Island blog.
