Late last night, Saturday, May 7, 2011, into early Sunday morning (approximately 1:00 AM), someone damaged the playground equipment in P.S. 29s' schoolyard by setting fire to it. The incident is currently under investigation by FDNY Fire Marshalls. As an extra precaution, the 76th Precinct has stepped up its' Patrols at all public parks, playgrounds and schoolyards. Anyone caught trespassing after hours will be subject to enforcement.
