The next community planning workshop for the Brooklyn Waterfront Greenway, led by NYC Department of Transportation (DOT), will be for Red Hook (CB6) on Thursday, October 14th at Red Hook Recreation Center. At this workshop, DOT will present route options and gather feedback as to the Red Hook community’s preferred alternatives. Route options will reflect information gathered at DOT’s first round of community planning workshops in March/April.
Thursday's planning workshop will continue to inform DOT’s master plan for constructing the greenway. There are still important route decisions to be made, so we need your input! These include:
1) the possibility of a waterfront segment south of Pier 12;
2) the route between Pier 41 and Beard Street;
3) the route at Erie Basin;
4) the route between Red Hook Park and the Hamilton Avenue Bridge.
If you have not yet done so, please RSVP to brooklynwaterfrontgreenway@dot.nyc.gov, and specify that you are attending the Red Hook workshop.
