Bike stolen from TIffany Place - DO NOT BUY THIS BIKE

The bike pictured above was stolen from Tiffany Place last weekend. It is an orange Schwinn with a basket in the front and a red banana seat (not in picture) in the back.

If someone tries to sell you this bike, please report it.

If you have any other information, feel free to email me at cbarker1 { at } gmail.com and I can put you in touch with the owner.

I have heard of many other bike thefts in the area recently - so remember to be extra careful!

I bet this bike was chained to a pole. I think every bike that is found chained to a pole should be removed.

Did you know that the police are suppose to remove bikes that are chained up to public poles. Yep the police can remove your bike from a public pole. The problem is that the 76th does nothing about this growing problem.

If I'm not mistaken the police Pct which covers Park Slope drove around and removed every bike found chained to a pole. This is something that needs to be done in Carroll Gardens.

Don't get me wrong I have nothing against bike riders. I do have a problem with people chaining up their bikes to my property. I've had to pass up parking spots because I couldn't get out of my car because a bike is blocking my door. I've also backed up into a bike trying to park my car. My back light was broke that time. Now who's going to pay for my light?? Let's not mention what an eye sore these bikes are. People chained their bikes up to the poles and they never come back from them. What an eye sore this is.

This is a growing problem and I feel it needs to be brought to everyone attention. I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels this way

I think Carroll Gardens 67 is the only person who feels that way. Hope you get your bike back and CG 67 learns how to park without hitting things.
